Scott Barnard – Scott joined the board in 2018. Scott and his family moved to New Canaan in the 1980s. He is a former executive vice president of sales and distribution for Champion International, and before retirement had his own consulting and paper distribution business. Scott is Co-Director of Operations for GetAbout.

Ray Boller – Ray joined the board in late 2022. He and his wife, Barbara, raised two children in New Canaan and have lived in town for more than 30 years. Ray is retired, having spent the first part of his career as a sales and marketing executive for cable programming companies (Showtime Networks, Rainbow Media) and a second career as the owner of BrightStar Care of Stamford, a home care agency. Ray is Co-Director of Operations of GetAbout.

Jill Ernst – Jill is co-president of the New Canaan Beautification League, the DAR Membership Chair, and an active parishioner of St. Mark’s Church. Jill and her husband, Chuck Loesch, have lived in New Canaan for 23 years. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Jill is now retired from a career in sales and marketing consulting.

David Holman – Dave has been a member of the board since 2015. Dave is a retired audit partner of Ernst & Young, where he worked for 40 years.  Dave and his wife, Fran, have lived in New Canaan for 15 years. David is Treasurer of GetAbout.

David Kalal – David joined the Board in 2022. He retired from UBS where his responsibilities focused on insolvency and financial restructuring. David and his wife Nancy moved to New Canaan in 1989, and raised their son here.

Rick Nietsch – Rick joined the board in 2018. He is a retired financial executive, having been most recently the treasurer of White & Case LLP. He and his wife, Patti, raised two children in New Canaan and have lived here for 35 years. Rick manages the relationship with the hospitals for GetAbout.

Rick Pivirotto – Rick joined the Board of GetAbout in 2019. He is currently a partner and head of investor relations for Solar Capital Partners, a private credit asset manager located in New York City. He and his wife, Jennifer raised two children in New Canaan and have lived in town for 15 years. Rick currently serves as Secretary for GetAbout.

William Post – Bill joined the board in 2018 having recently retired from a 28-year career with the AmeriCares Foundation where he served as vice president of finance and treasurer. He has lived in New Canaan for 35 years. Bill serves as President of GetAbout.

Cynthia Saffi – Cynthia has been a member of the GetAbout board since 2020. Cynthia is a New Canaan native, graduating from New Canaan High School and Vanderbilt University. After living in New York City and Boston, Cynthia moved back to New Canaan with her family in 2020. Prior to her current role as a full-time mom of two young children, Cynthia spent ten years as a marketing executive in beauty and retail. While in New York, Cynthia worked on the global marketing team within the Aramis and Designer Fragrances division at Estee Lauder. Most recently she was the head of marketing for NIC+ZOE, a women’s fashion and accessories brand based in Boston.

Bethany Zaro, MPH, RN, GP-C – Bethany joined the GetAbout board as Ex-Officio in 2019. She currently serves as Director of Human Services for the Town of New Canaan. Since 2007 she has worked for both the Health Department and Human Services in various capacities as the public health nurse and adult/senior outreach -coordinator. While living in New Canaan these past 30 years, she has raised three daughters and volunteers her time as a Grief Support Group Facilitator with Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County
